My family is planning a trip to WDW over Christmas (staying off site), and one thing that is important to us is having a nice Christmas Eve dinner (sit down, non-character, more "upscale" dining). We don't have much of an itinerary yet, so not sure which if any park we'll be in. Also thinking about leaving to go back to hotel to freshen up and go back to a park for dinner if possible. Off site might also be considered. Any suggestions? Thank you! :)

If you are at Epcot, LeCellier would be nice with the Candlelight Processional to follow. We did it one Christmas Eve and it was so special and spititual.

We will be at Le Cellier again for Christmas Eve. Just not doing Candlelight Processional this year. LC was our family's uncontested choice, and I got it right on my 180+10 date. We also considered Narcoosee's (going earlier in our trip) as our other choice.

I would think you might have some problems getting a Christmas Eve ADR at the very popular restaurants by now, as availability opened up in June.

Agree with the previous poster. I would make a list of your top choices and see if ANY of them have a spot for your family.

I also think LeCellier would make a great choice, or even Chefs de France. :thumbsup2

Call as soon as possible. It's probably gonna be pretty hard to get ANYTHING!!!! much less your first choices!

Narcoossee's at the GF is a nice place for Christmas dinner. We ate there last year for Christmas Eve and got a nice personalized menu to take home with us. :goodvibes Not to mention, the food is AMAZING! the most tender filet I have ever eaten!! You better call now, cause it gets packed for xmas and you wont get in! Good Luck and enjoy!!

Thanks for the suggestions and tips. Problem is trying to coordinate the family (there are 11 of us going, 5 different households) Every time I bring it up, someone says "We're not going for another 3 months blah blah blah". But they'll thank me for pushing them when we get down there and see just how crowded it is, and they don't get their dinner choices b/c they waited to book!

Trust me if you wait till that day there will be no restuarants taking walk ups at all. You might have trouble getting an ADR now. Please do not wait call this week. If they didn't want to make that decision now I would either make it for everyone or make it for my family and everyone else could fend for themselves!!!!

It is going to be hard to get an ADR now for christmas eve and even harder with a party of that size. I would call now and see what can be done. They will be thanking you when they see how crazy it will be.

Also, even off site will be hard. Even in NE Tennessee you have to have reservations for christmas eve dinner at any of the nicer places.

you may want to explore some off site returanats at this point - The gaylord palms has some nice resturants.

How do you get 11 people to go away for Christmas - I cant even get my family to do a group thing during the rest of the year - Im impressed.

Call immediately and get whatever you can. There may still be some choices but not many. Every restaurant has steak, fish, chicken and veggies-There will be something for everyone so better to have a reservation than be stuck with CS for the holidays!
