I just booked my first SOLO trip! I can't believe I'm going to my favorite place in the world completely alone! Though our family trips are amazing and I love them beyond belief... I'm really looking forward to making this trip alone!! I can do what I want... when I want and don't need to worry about what anyone else likes or doesn't like!! WOW!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

So... now that I'm done doing my happy dance... onto my question. In the past, we always purchase the ddp, but since I'll be alone, I decided not to. I can't imagine eating in a restaurant by myself (nothing wrong with it, just not me). I had thought about the basic plan, but I'm guessing I'll be doing more 'snacking' than 'meal eating', so I am planning to buy myself some disney gift cards in advance to cover the cost of my food. So now I need food/snack ideas!! I want to hear about the 'MUST HAVE' snacks and counter service foods. Of course I plan to get ice cream and at least one Dole Whip, but what else? I've never gone into the bakery at MK. I have never had any counter service meals in WS at EPCOT, or a counter service treat from AK. We have always done LOTS of TS meals, and usually our CS meals are the basics. Pizzafari, Pizza Planet, the counter service meals in the Land Pavilion. So I'm looking for help on something new and different!! Since I don't need to worry about anyone else liking what I try... I just want to experiment!! Hit me up with the foods and treats that you all find too good to pass up!!

Thanks for your help!

Since you don't want to eat in a restaurant by yourself, would sitting at the bar be OK ?

Monorail ride to the Polynesian Resort - Kona Island Sushi Bar try the Sashimi - salmon tuna and chef's choice

Monorail ride to the Contemporary Resort - California Grill bar with a view of the Magic Kingdom, try the Tuna Three Ways - Poki, Tartare, and Tataki or any of the flat-breads

^FYI both do not open until 5pm

Bus ride to Downtown Disney - T-Rex, sit at the fish tank bar, try the Supersaurus Sampler - Spinach and pepper jack queso with tortilla chips, Brachiosaurus Bruschetta, T-Rexadillas and Onion Rings
^a must do at Disney :thumbsup2

Bus ride to Downtown Disney - Raglan Road, try the Heritage Tomato Salad - Heirloom tomato and rocket salad, with shallots, parmesan crisps and balsamic reduction

Epcot offers LOTS of options. The Norway & France 'bakeries' also offer great sandwiches. Morocco has a great little cafe as well, as does Germany. You could spend an entire week just eating at WS!!!! Have fun!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm sure that I'll be STUFFED during my EPCOT day. I'll just travel the world, take pictures, and eat!! And eat!! And eat! :goodvibes I can't wait!

I love my solo trips, I have had some of the best meals going solo. one thing I would do if I were you is get a photopass and take as many pictures with characters as possible. you can take all the pictures in the world of the World but it's kinda neat seeing yourself in a few of them, just to show how much fun you had. Also, do one of the tours that they offer, sometimes those are easier to do without a companion only because you don't have to listen to their whining if they aren't enjoying it and you are.
As far as snacks and the like, I am a BIG fan of the Karamel Kitchen in Germany, more importantly the caramel popcorn....OMG I JUST LOVE IT...Mexico has awesome beverages of the adult kind but go inside, IMO they are better than the ones at the kiosk. if you like sushi, the sushi bar at Wolfgang Pucks in DTD is great...and of course Fulton's Crab House...OK I need to stop, I'm getting hungry for popcorn now...
