I need a suggestion to impress my new DB with a meal on our first full night at the world. We are staying at WLV for the first part so anywhere around there that has a kids club where I can put DD for a couple of hours.
Any suggestions would be great.
Also a time so we can view wishes or some fire works.

The WL used to have a kids club - have you checked? I also read about in room sitters once but not seen anything on that for a while.

When are you going so you can check for times of fireworks - are you wanting to view them from a hotel or park?

Thankyou. The date would be april 10th. Would prefer a monorail or epcot resort dont fancy whispering canyon and kids club is better as dd is 10

Well we love CG for a special occasion and it is having a refurb in January. You can get the boat across from the WL and also view Wishes from the restaurant or balcony.

I think O'Hanas would not be as romantic with the kids activities but the GF has Narcooscees and Citricos (been here also and it is very nice inside) :)

How about Yachtsmans at the Yacht Club or Flying Fish at the Boardwalk.

There is a fun kids club at the Beach Club called the Sandcastle Club, it gets very good reviews.

Hi its my husbands 40th in Feb so i have booked a table at the grand floridian and as there kids club is fully booked my kids are going to the poly and we are going to pick them up in time for dessert and fireworks

We were really impressed with the Cubs Den at WL (don't forget your DVC discount) - staff to kids ratio was one to one the night DD was there :thumbsup2

We had a fantastic meal at Artist Point and DD didn't want to leave the kids club when we went to collect her :rotfl2:

Will check out Artist point Tracy and thanks for the reminder about my dvc discount:cool1:

Does anyone know how much it is an hour?

Another Vote for the Yatchsman or Beach Club buffet

You could leave DD in Beach Club kids club and then afterwards it's a 5 mins walk to Epcot and you could watch illuminations

The price is in the link I posted - I have copied a bit of it below :thumbsup2

The cost per child is $11.50 per hour, with a 2-hour minimum charge. Reservations are recommended for all locations, except Camp Dolphin, where reservations are required and additional costs may apply. For advanced reservations, please call (407) WDW-DINE. Same day walk-ins are also welcome based on availability.

Chloe was there 2 1/2 hrs and it was about $25 inc tax after discount. :thumbsup2

Thanku all and sorry mrs doubt i missed the bit abt the cost but found it now. Looking at menus I like captains grill and GFC but close third is kona. Just need to check availibility at kids clubs now.

If you're at WL then the obvious choice is Artist Pointe. For me, it's one of the hidden and least known about treasures at WDW. We've always been able to get a table on the day because it's not one of the "popular" restaurants, but the food is incredible and the atmosphere is great for a romantic meal. Unlike some of the other restaurants at WDW, it's really quiet and relaxed. Don't expect to eat quickly because it just isn't that type of place!

Oh no confused now when I booked the poly kids club she knew we were eating at the grand floridian as there kids club was full. She never said we could not leave the resort in fact she suggested it as it is only a quick hop on the monorail. Will ring and check now.

Let us know if you get sorted :)

If they knew u were leaving the hotel I wouldnt worry. It may have been because akl is away from other resorts. If there is a problem im sure they will sort it.
