Hi there,
We're staying at the Contemporary for 5 nights in December. When we originally booked our ADRs we only had 4 nights, so I'm looking for some help with planning a last night dinner. A few details:
* We have a party of 7 : two grandmothers, two parents, three kids
* We're all on the dining plan
*I've got a plan A -- California Grill, 9pm which hopefully will allow us to be seated before the MVMXP fireworks at 9:30.
*I want a Plan B in case (a) we don't have enough credits, (b) it's too late for the kids, (c) we don't want to eat that late, and/or (d) we upgrade to concierge and view the fireworks from the lounge instead.
*We'd prefer not to have any more character meals, or buffets.
*We've already got ressies at:
Concourse Steakhouse
Chef Mickey's
Kona's
Whispering Canyon
Coral Reef
Spoodles
Cinderella's Gala Feast at 1900 Park Fare (renos should be finished by then, right?)
* We are only travelling by Disney transportation, no car
*We are not doing MVMXP.
*We can sleep in the next morning, but I'm not sure the kids will want to, since they'd have a chance for a couple of hours in the park in the morning (particularly if we hit a.m. EMH)

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

We too do Crystal Palace and the selections for the buffet are good for everyone in your party......

We always like Crystal Palace for a first or last night. :)
Thanks...
Ah, the irony! Crystal Palace is actually a place I don't want to go back to; I found it loud and the food not-so-great when I dined with the girls last time :-( But, I can also see why it would be a good choice -- lovely dining room, popular characters, in a good location at the MK....
I should edit the original post to note that I'm looking for a non-buffet, non-character restaurant, preferably 1TS credit :-)

Raglan Road? It appears you're already dining at most of the 1TS restaurants on the monorail (except 'Ohana?), and Trail's End, while good, is a poor use of DDP credits. So, with the simplest non-park transportation being to Downtown Disney, either RR or Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. Or, repeat Kona Cafe. It's goooooooooooood :)
