We are leaving for the world on December 31! :cool1:

Last night, DD(4) was at the walk-in clinic, and it looks like she might have Strep throat:sad2: .

She has a perscription that must be kept cold. Any suggestions beyond an ice pack in the carry-on?

use small insulated lunch box, freeze some small milk/whip cream containers and seal them in plastic wrap so they don't leak. Should keep it cold on plane.

How about the 3-1-1 rule at the airport is medication seperate from that rule? I have two liquid meds that I have to bring, 1 is in a 100ml bottle and the other is in a 500ml bottle (my son has to take antibiotis 3 days out of the week, every week), my husband thinks they won't except the big bottle, and we will have to transfer to a smaller bottle, but will they accept a make shift label?:confused3

I believe that as long as the perscription has a name of someone travelling in your party you should be fine. Did you let the dr know you were going on vac and perhaps a pill version might have been available?

Here is a link to the Transportation Security Administration website which suggests prescription medications are excluded: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/editorial_1059.shtm

Unfortunatley he can't take pills yet, makes him gag! I didn't even think about it, till yesterday when i was making my packing list!
