hello,

I would like to put together a shopping list for my 30 minute stop at the grocery store on our way to WDW so any ideas would be great. I will have a fridge in the room and need some suggestions for small snack ideas & breakfast ideas. Any ideas for non-perishable items that kids (3 & 6) would enjoy in the park and that wont melt would be helpful. Thanks a bunch.

Goldfish crackers and pretzels.
Kraft Snacks: pretzel/breadstick/cracker with cheese.
Dry cereal... mine love Smorz or Mini Frosted Shredded Wheat.

My last trip to Orlando, I brought a soft-sided cooler (large) as my carry on, and then used it as an ice-chest in the room. It was perfect... just needed to top it off with ice each evening. We'll be picking up milk, OJ, apple juice yogurts, and maybe some jimmydean sandwiches or other micro-meals.

:scratchin There ARE microwaves at the food area in POR, right???

I am trying to recall what we brought........animal cookies, Chex mix, those cookies "to go" in the plastic cup w/ lid (oreo, nutter butter, etc...), cheese/cracker packs, nuts, crackers, goldfish, pretzels, combos and rice krispy treats. i think that was about it...just be careful not to take toooo much. we didn't even eat all we brought...:sad2: oh well, at least i was prepared. "better to have and not use/need than to need/want and not have".

We buy milk, juice, yogurt, fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, grapes), cereal, bagels, peanut butter & jelly (mixed in jar), turkey, bread, popcorn, wine, water, juice boxes, styrofoam cooler. From home we pack plastic utensils, cups, bowls and plates and small packets of condiments like mayo and jelly.
