Suggestions for Destin, Florida...

There are 2 crab traps - one is between destin and ft. walton beach by the howl at the moon and other night spots (up by the gulfarium) the other is down that old highway 98 I think on the beach.

We've actuallly eaten at Dewey Destin's and if you love fried seafood it was kind of neat, but it wasn't our favorite. We my have to check a menu at Pompano Joe's, it's funny how everyones taste for food is so different.

Just reading all the posts excites me. We rent a home on the beach just east of Seaside every summer. (July this year!!) I love the area and dream of retiring there. We've meant to eat at the Red Door, but have never made it there. Any more opinions on this place? Bayou Bill's is a place we always seen to go to.
Do you mean the Red Bar? If so then it's in Grayton Beach. It's such a fun restaurant. The walls are covered with memorabilia and it has a fun eclectic atmosphere. The food is great and they have a band playing in the evenings. It's our favorite place to eat without the kids, although we always see some kids there. The restaurant only offers about 10 entrees each evening.
Our other family favorites are The Back Porce, The Crab Trap and The Donut Hole.

For lunch go to Callahan'S on Harbor Blvd. in Destin. You will go away stuffed. On the dinner menu, (after 4PM) they have a prime rib that is huge and very good. If you catch some fish, Fisherman's Wharf will cook them for you after you clean them.
