Suggestions for beach spots on CC

What is the best area on CC family beach? I know that it is crowded, but wondered if anyone had a suggestion for a good area to try and get to early?

It seems that the farther you walk, the less crowded it becomes. Just arrive early.

If you have older kids who will like the raft activities, this will probably a good place to set up camp. Remember that the first beach is the "boating beach", next comes the snorkeling area and after that the swimming beach extends for quite a ways. A map of CC will be included with your Navigator the evening before so you can plan your strategy.

We got off the ship early and picked a spot not too far down the beach. It was the perfect location we thought. It was right next to a hammock and just off to the right of the lifeguard station. We thought that hammock and the lifeguard chair would be good markers for the kids to find us if we got seperated on the beach. Also, not too far behind us was a walking path to get to the food area and bar so everything we needed was close by. We will try to get this same spot next time.

We've only been to CC once so I can't say if it is always crowded but I assume it is. It is a great, great, great way to end the cruise. The best stop by far on the whole trip.

You don't have to disembark early to get a good spot (unless you are dead set on a hammock). You just have to be willing to walk. It's practically deserted at the end of the family beach, down towards Heads Up Bar. Plus there is a restroom there and the Group Game Pavillion, and you are close to the kids play structure in the water. When we don't go to the adult beach, that area is where you will find us.

I would tell you but then I would have to kill you. Just kidding.
There are more than enough beach chairs for everyone. If you want a good spot by the snorkel lagoon, get off early. I prefer to walk down to the far end because it's less crowded (MUCH MUCH MUCH LESS CROWDED) but then it's a hike to the snorkel lagoon and a long swim to the shipwreck.
So what I'm saying is: THERE ISN'T A BAD LOCATION.

If your kids are pretty little, then you'll probably want to be at the beach area that has the play structure in the water. If your kids are older, then go all the way past the family beach to the area that they call the sports beach (I think that's the name). It is in front of the game pavillion and volleyball area. When we were there last summer, we were the ONLY ones on that beach until lunchtime. It was never crowded there. Our kids were older and spent most of their time on the teen beach, so that worked well for us. The teen beach is just a little farther down, so we could keep an eye on them without their thinking we were spying. Wish I was there right now!

There were four hammocks near the Head's Up bar that were hardly used the entire day we were there. There were no umbrellas near them, though, so that may explain it. We tested them out for a while when we first got there and when we were headed back to the ship.

The play structure was closed when we were there, except for the lifeguards, so check that before you select a spot based on that criteria. We stopped at the Sports Beach on our way to Serenity Bay and were the only ones on that section for a long time (including the teen beach). We never even made it to Serenity Bay because it was so peaceful! When we picked up DS from Scuttle's Cove, we went right back where we were. More people showed up later in the day, but there were still plenty of empty chairs and unused umbrellas.
