Hi all

i'm beginning to plan my feb 2005 trip (!) and this time i was thinking of straying from wdw (!!). we've gone the last 3 yrs and need something different.

i've looked into cruises (of course, disney being one of them) and club med.

has anyone done any all inclusive trips that they would strongly recommend? looking mostly in warm climates. thanks

this would be for me, hubby, 4yo son and 5 yo daughter

We've stayed in Jamaica at an all-inclusive called Ciboney which I think is now owned by Sandals. I think it is adults only though. I'm investigating a trip for 2005/March for our family right now and we will want to stay at an all-inclusive. We like the Beaches resorts which have a lot of children's programs and we also like the packages Apple Vacations puts together. We are leaning toward Punta Cana at Iberostar's Bavaro resort. I'd love to hear where others have stayed too.

We went to Sandals in Jamaica twice and have actually been thinking of going back.....it was beautiful and I felt like a queen there. I believe they have Sandals in Jamaica that are childless and include children now.

We too stayed at Sandals and really loved it! I heard 1 or 2 of their resorts are now family resorts!

We are leaving on Thursday for the Beaches Negril Resort in Jamaica. It is owned by Sandals and all inclusive. We picked it because it seemed to have excellent options for our DD (4). You can check it out at www.beaches.com. They also offer a family property in Ocho Rios (Boscobel Beach) and one in Turks and Caicos.

PM me next week and I'll fill you in on all of the details!

It would depend on what your into quiet and romantic or party all the time, The sandels resorts are very good and I can also recommend Pineapple Beach Club in Antigua and La Source in Grenda which is also a Spa the price includes a Spa treatment every day very peaceful. :sunny:

In February we stayed at the Melia in Puerta Vallarta. We loved it. The Resort grounds were immaculate, there was a variety of activities that you could participate in if you wanted to and the service was outstanding!! It was a nice place for families, although we left the kids home this time.

We stayed at Beaches in Jamaica which is a family resort. It was fine for four days but I don't think I would have enjoyed it for much longer. I get restless. The best all inclusive/affordable vacations that I like are cruises. Cruises are particularly good because if the weather is bad on one island, the ship moves to another and you get to wake up in a difference place without packing every day!
