Hi. :goodvibes

I'm thinking of taking my best friend on her first trip sometime this Fall. I think I've pretty much decided against the Dining Plan because she is so picky about what she eats.

I don't think TS meals will be too big of a problem because there's a lot of variety there, but I only want to do a few TS meals so we'll have more time in the parks. She eats little meat (chicken is okay if it's not processed, no pork, will rarely eat a hamburger). Allergic to all fruit. Doesn't eat fast food.

Can anybody suggest any CS options that might work?

I am a picky eater too! No meat for me here...not even poultry! Some of the counter services offer veggie burgers...does she eat those? I think Pecos Bills has them.

I don't know if she is a big eater or not...but most places offer fruit too!

Check out the menus at allears. There are salads available at counter service places. Hot dogs? Don't forget that you can always order just a side like fries. You don't have to get the full blown meal all the time. Check places like the "food court" at The Land. Soft pretzels - we love those. Funnel cake. How about the counter service in Japan at Epcot? That does have chicken in it, though. Mexican? The new Yak and Yeti quick serve place? Pizza? Toy Story Pizza Planet at Hollywood Studios or Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom. And check the kids meals. She doesn't have to get an adult meal at a counter service place.

Depending on if your friend is "unadventurous picky" or diet-specific picky"... The Boulangerie & Patisserie in France at EPCOT has really yummy freshly baked goods and quiches. At EPCOT, Sunshine Terrace has a ton of options. Pinnochio Village Haus in the MK has a panini that is good, and it could be ordered without the turkey. I took a vegetarian friend on her first trip to WDW and we survived just fine. Good luck!

Hope some of these CS/snack options help:
  • Spicy cheese pretzel & cream cheese pretzel from The Lunching Pad at MK are yummy!
  • Pizza at Pizza Planet, Pizzafari, and I'm sure there's others...
  • As someone mentioned before, the bakery at Epcot in France is great; their quiches are delicious!
  • Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich in DTD might be good options
  • Sunshine Seasons Food Court at Epcot has lots of choices
  • Rose & Crown Pub has fish & chips
