Thinking of staying a week in February (non-peak week) 2010. Kids (all boys) will be 10, 13, and 15 at the time. I'd appreciate some help is netting out the 2 or 3 bedrooms communities to consider. We like the idea of a place with a mini waterpark, if it is "old enough" for our kids. Otherwise, we'd like a place with a nice pool and maybe a private pool right at our rented townhouse or villa. We LOVE the space of a villa or TH with laundry, etc.

1. Orange Lake
2. Windsor Hills
3. Harbour Lakes (sounds like pirate ship feature is too young for our guys)
4. other places to check out?

Thanks!

You'll find lots of great comments on here for Bonnet Creek. Closest non Disney resort to the parks. We stayed 10 nights last December and just loved it. Paid $120 for a 2 bed/2 bath. It was huge.
Booked through Ken Price at www.vacationupgrades.com and can't recommend highly enough.

3 pools, slide, 2 lazy rivers, lits of activities, and just so close to the parks. We can't wait to go back.

I would add Grande Vista to your list.

I got a 2BR/2BA off ebay last Christmas week for about $90 a night and loved it! We watched the MK and Epcot fireworks from our balcony every night. :thumbsup2

Which of these resorts would be most central for doing some Universal time as well as Disney resort dining, DTD and other Orlando attractions??

We have a 2 bedroom at Orange Lake and have been very happy with it. No provate pool, but they have several options for pools and water parks. I think we even have a week that we are putting in as a rental. PM me if you are interested.

This is a 3 bedroom that overlooks the pool. We rented from Mike and Laura this past spring. We had 8 people and this place was fantastic!

We aren't renting from them next week because we are renting a 4 bedroom pool home. There will be 9 of us with 6 of us being adults so we really needed more room (and we wanted two king beds).

They were wonderful to deal with, very professional.....the place had everything including a teapot that whistled the Mickey Mouse song. LOL Look at the pictures, they are pretty impressive. I also think they have some of the best rates. During peak Easter season, we got it for $125 plus tax.

I would love to stay at Bonnet Creek also. That place looks great. It's a little more than I like to pay. The rates are higher when we usually go than what others have gotten. I think the site said $200 a night at the end of August. Maybe someday.

Good luck with your search. There sure is a lot to choose from.

We had a 3-bedroom condo at Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa that was immaculate for $159/night. It had a pirate ship pool with water slide (for older kids/adults) and a "quiet pool". The condo had a full kitchen, huge rooms, incredible master bath...nicer than my own home!!! My DH and I always stayed at the GF before DS was born, so I was afraid I would be disappointed with anything less...LBVR&S was even nicer than the GF.
