Took advantage of the 4/3 special and booked Mar 14 - 22nd :cool1: First trip for DD4princess: and DS2 pirate: (will be 3 on the 22nd). :cheer2: Needing suggestions as to what special events I should definitely book. Was reading on one post a pirate and princess party but cannot find anything on the disney site. Is this still offered? My daughter loves  the princesses, how to you get to meet them?
We have the disney visa card, there are special meet and greet events that we can attend by showing the card correct?
thanks in advance for all the help.:grouphug:

A dinner at CRT would be great. They get to meet Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother and mice perform during dinner.

In MK there is a character greeting spot near Mickey's ToonTown that the princesses are usually in. After the Castle Court stage show in front of the castle a princess or two comes down for a meet and greet and autographs (can get very crowded). Belle used to do a storyhour near the castle. I don't know if they still do this or not.

We have also seen Jasmine and Snow White in EPCOT.

I am sure others will have more ideas for meeting princesses. Hope this helps some. :)

We took our daughter who had just turn three this past year.

The Princess Breakfast in Norway was a huge hit. We meet Belle, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins was outside. We also loved the Preschool Disney Character Breakfast at the Hollywood in Vine (there was JoJo and the Little Einsteins)

You can also meet the princess in Toontown in the MK. They are in the Judges tent. You can get the times when they will be there when you walk into the park.
As for the Disney Visa Card- Yes the meet and Greet is in Epcot Daily between 1 and 4. It is in Innovations East (the one to the right just past Spaceship Earth). This was great. You never know who will be there and they do not tell you until you walk in. We lucked out- we had Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. There was no one else in line so we were in there for at least 15 minutes and have absolutely priceless pictures.

Character meals are a great way to meet the characters, and be semi-efficient about it too...great value if you are on dining plan! We really enjoy Crystal Palace (Pooh characters) and Akershus was jam-packed w/princesses. They may enjoy collecting autographs.

Also, use the play areas at the parks to give the little ones a break from the strollers. My kids love the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground at DHS and also Pooh's thoughtful spot in MK...there is also one in Toon Town. Come to think of it they like the Dinosaur Dig area in AK too!!!! They are well designed and there is only one way in/out, so you can let them roam without swivel necking!!!

Don't forget your resort pool area too! My kids enjoyed the pool as much as the parks...it is fabulous to swim every day if you can, and a nice break.

CHARACTER MEALS!:thumbsup2

When we took our DD's (ages 4 and 2), we did the DDP and used all of our TS credits for character meals. The kids loved it. The best bonus was that we didn't have to go chasing the characters all over the parks or wait in line to see them. The girls just said, "No, mom, we saw Mickey at lunch". They knew that they'd meet the characters at least once every day. The meals are great because the characters come to you. You don't have to wait in line or try to get their attention. I kept telling the girls that they had to be in their seats with empty plates before Mickey would see them. They ate so well!

Our last trip was in 2007, but we've found that Epcot is the BEST place for meeting characters (especially princesses.) Hopefully someone can post the site, but I think it's Steve Soares who posts what characters can be found where at each park. We've followed his advice three times and met TONS of characters in World Showcase at Epcot and around Animal Kingdom. (Also around MK and MGM, but they're usually easier to find.)

We went when DD was 4 and DS was 2. Her favorites were lunch with the princesses at Akershus, the fountain in front of the imagination pavillion at Epcot, meeting all the characters and small gifts left nightly by Tinker Bell. His favorites were the Disney buses, the monorail, Goofy's coaster at MK, the trains at MK and AK and meeting the characters, especially Goofy.

That was our first Disney trip as a family and our biggest mistake was overdoing it the first two days. The kids (especially my schedule-requiring son) were EXHAUSTED on the third day and wanted nothing to do with all the shows at MGM. We went to the Pirate and Princess party on a different trip and I highly recommend it if it's offered. We did the Family Magic Tour when the kids were 5 and 3 and it was fantastic! (Oh, but my son HATED it because we walked past all the rides. He's definitely NOT a "go with the flow" kid though.) We tried the barber shop at MK and I'm possibly the only person on the boards who was disappointed with the experience. My son got a bad haircut (I'm not picky, he usually gets it buzzed) and none of the attention or extras everyone else raves about. My daughter got "pixie dust" in her hair and absolutely loved it.
