We are staying at Marriott Cypress Harbor and will be going to the Disney parks, but we do not arrive until Thanksgiving Day, probably not before 4pm or so. Anyone have suggestions for good Thanksgiving dinner that won't cost an arm and a leg? We could eat in the parks, but we would rather not spend 25 bucks a head for a turkey dinner. TIA for your suggestions!

Boston Market is about the best deal there is to feed a family and I'm pretty sure that they have roasted turkey. The food is good and you can eat at your resort in comfort rather than battling holiday crowds. I believe you can even have something catered if you want but that might be for more people than you need. Worth looking into, IMO.

My husband loves boston market, though I have never eaten there. I think I will check their website!

kept in mind that alot of these places will be closed on Thanksgiving - I think all the grocery stores are.

so your wait in line will be long!!!

Last year when we were in MK on Thanksgiving Day, we went to Cosmic Ray's (of all places!) and they were serving a Thanksgiving Special that was soooo delicious my husband still brings it up when we talk about Thanksgiving meals! It was a turkey dinner with all the fixings (turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, etc.) and it was really yummy - I can't remember the exact cost, but it seems like $8.95 or $9.95 (I'm probably off on this - it IS Disney after all!) It was also big enough to share, but we didn't know that and ordered two so we were absolutely stuffed, just like you should be after your Thanksgiving meal! :earseek: I think they also offered a meal for 4, with family style portions to share for bigger groups.

It wasn't crowded at all, and I don't know if most people even saw it listed up on the menu because we had quite a few passing by our table ask us "That looks delicious - where did you get it?"! :sunny:

I don't know if they offer that every year, but it was perfect for us!

Any other suggestions? We were thinking about Chef Mickey's but I have heard so many bad reviews of it and it is so expensive.

chef Mickey's is Loud!!! and I mean LOUD.

so it is not on my list - although mother and the teens love it.

Yeah, DH would probably be just as happy not going, but he knows the kids like it. (And I like that it is in the CR and watching the monorail--I feel just like a kid myself!)
