Sugar Loaf or Poly conc.

ok I need some help. It is my parents 25th wedding anniversary next October. They have never been to Disney alone and I would like to send them there for a few days. Since I cannot afford a whole week, I would them to have at least 3 nights in concierge and the rest in POR. Here is my question....I can get Sugar Loaf GF conc. for 250/night or Poly Lagoon View Conc. for
262/night. Which is better? I know they have always wanted to stay at the poly or GF. Does it still feel like GF even though your not in the main building? I really want them to enjoy this!!

ps. i saw the other post on this sudject, but it was aimed more for which would be better with kids...im looking for which would a couple celebrating their 25th enjoy more!

I really think it's personal choice, and you can't go wrong either way. Here are some of my thoughts. The GF is really "Grand" and luxurious--it still feels like the GF in the lodge buildings. The Poly has a wonderfully relaxing feel. The sugar loaf concierge is not open at night, and the Poly concierge is, so if cordials and desserts are important to your parents, then I would choose Poly concierge. Both resorts are very convenient, but the Poly is a little more convenient since you can quickly walk to the TTC if you want to get to Epcot more quickly than riding the monorail the whole way there. Either is really nice, so I guess it just comes down to which you think they would prefer.

I think ead79 summed it up perfectly. We've done both and love both. To me the GF is so pretty but the Polynesian is more lush and romantic. I don't think you can go wrong with either. What a great gift to your parents!!
