Anyone know if there are any good choices for fancy sugar free cocktails? I heard there are some new interesting healthy cocktails. I am low-carb, but don't want to miss out on special Poly beverages!!!
First family WDW visit in Sept Yay! 5 days Poly, 5 days BC CL

A couple of years ago, the Poly served a X-Fusion/X-rated lemonade. I believe they now call it a Poolside lemonade (possible because they are using a generic liquor rather than X-Fusion??). This drink is served at most Disney restaurants as well and it is one of my favorites because it is lighter. It is vodka, x-fusion liquor (or a mango/passion fruit liquor), and minute maid light lemonade (so sugar free lemonade). It is tasty and low in sugar - although i'm sure the x-fusion has some sugar in it since it is a sweeter tasing liquor (so a liqueur???).

Anyway, hope that helps! There may be other drinks made with the minute maid light lemonade - ask a bartender!

very familiar with the Atkins/Low Carb way of eating...and have to say you're going to be completely disappointed looking for any low-carb specialty cocktails at Disney (as well as most places, everywhere! ...LC apparently never much caught on with bartenders!)

Unfortunately, all of the liqueurs which bartenders use to make those delish specialty cocktails are high carb (liqueurs are basically flavoring/booze/sugar syrup concoctions.) Your typical liqueurs vary from about 6 carbs per oz (Bailey's Irish Cream) up to 17 carbs per oz. (Amaretto, Kahlua) Pretty hefty for a beverage, especially since many of the spec. cocktails may have 2-3 oz of liqueurs in them. You could end up with one drink containing 25-40 carbs.

To stay LC, your best bet will be to stick with diet coke/rum...I like it with a twist of lime. Sadly, diet coke seems to be the only sugar free soda available to be a mixer (wish they would carry diet Sprite to give a different "taste" to beverages.) Or ice tea w/whiskey & lemon slice

I used to order the standard vodka/soda myself. But that did get a bit boring. I recently found these AMAZING sugar free fancy cocktails called Slimstix. Its a portable pouch you can just add to your vodka soda that you order from the bar. They come in 3 flavors so far: Margaria, Cosmo , and my favorite, Mojito.
You can get them at stores and on the Slimstix website or Amazon. Definitly worth a try if you are looking for sugar free and delicious. princess:

Thank you for this information I am going to see if we can get Slimstix here. :thumbsup2

Vodka with club soda and a twist of lime is always a good option, may not be the most tasty.
