Sugar Cookie Toppings

For my daughter's birthday party, I am having the kids decorate their star sugar cookies. The kids ages range from one to five years of age. I was thinking of already doing sprinkles and m&ms. Does anyone have other ideas-maybe ones that are not as sweet.
*The theme of the party is Dora the Explorer.

How about raisins or dried cherries. Still sweet but without the refined sugar.
