So I booked my trip last Monday, leaving Friday staying until Monday. This will be a difficult trip for me but I chose Disney World because it's familiar to me and easily traveled. No plans made, I want to recharge, maybe swim and eat some good food. I noted the parks are open long hours:confused3 If any one has any thoughts, ideas, opinions, encouragement please chime in!

you'll have a wonderful time!!!! :wizard: pixiedust: :wizard:

I'm staying at the Beach Club. I love the pool. I'm hoping I'll have a balcony to sit out on.:)

Relax and do what sounds good to you all weekend. ADRs might be an issue--but you already know that!

I love my solo WDW visits as much when I visit with family/friends. Sometimes I'm very low key when solo, other times closer to commando. I can relax at the resort or go out and be among people.

It's an excellent place to recharge your batteries and regain persective on your life.

Sounds heavenly...I think I would just go with the flow once you get there. Take it slow, do what you want, relax...I think Disney is the perfect place to do that. I need a trip like this myself...lol!

Have a great time!!

I'm looking at booking this week for a late May solo trip. Not as sudden as you booked, but it's pretty short notice for me, a planner. Still looking forward to the down time!

Check out non park things to do like the Jiko/Boma tour in the afternoon. Have lunch at Sanaa. You could spend the afternoon and sit out on the AKL balcony, read and watch the animals. I'm considering a quick solo trip myself to the F/G show, will be interested to see what else is suggested.

Just did my first solo trip in Feb to WL. It was heaven!!!! I am a stay at home mom and DH said I could go to "unwind". It was just what I needed!

I ate when/where I wanted, saw shows I wanted, shopped without complaints, took photos of everything and had a great time!!!!

If you can do a backstage tour I would highly suggest it. I did Dolphins in Depth and had the place to myself!!! It was a wonderful experience. If you like flowers you could go to the Epcot's backstage flower tour!

You will have a great time solo!!!!:lovestruc

I did the same thing in February. I was so tired of the record snow that we had this winter and work was really getting to me, so I booked with 3 weeks notice. I went to Epcot for one day and spent the other 3 days just hanging out at AKL-Kidani and DTD. I also went to CR to view the MK fireworks one night from the platform at the end of the hotel. They pipe in the music so it was a great place to watch.

On one of the days, I booked the Fort Wilderness Segway Tour, which was awesome. I met 5 other people on the tour and we followed 2 guides all around the campground, the nature area, over around WL, and along the shore of Bay Lake for almost 2 hours. It was definitely worth the money and I plan to do it again.

Have fun!

Terri

Just relax, enjoy it and have a great time! Sounds like a perfect getaway :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the replies.:thumbsup2 Sorry it took me so long to post again. I was sick my first night at WDW, took a taxi to a pharmacy the next morning($) and was not 100% for the rest of my trip:sick:. But the Beach Club is a great place to languish. I still went swimming everyday in SAB, which I really enjoyed. And the restaurants there are good. I went to the parks a little but mostly I relaxed, that's what I needed. So I went "with the flow" as suggested, came home with a "better perspective", and can't wait to go back again!:)

Yep, WDW is a great place to recharge. Even if you aren't 100%. Glad you came back refreshed.:hippie:
