Successful first park day!

This is our fourth family trip, first time during summer. I was nervous being the first week of July. We did MK today and I was scared for nothing. The crowds were nothing compared to Easter week 3, 4 and 5 years ago! However, I must note we did NOT opt to stay for the firework show tonight, we don’t have girls so they no one is really into fantasy land and princesses and my kids’ fave rides are splash and big thunder. Our trip planning went as follows:
Big thunder
Splash
Splash
Jungle cruise
POTC
HM
Big Thunder with FP 1045
Stopped for snacks
Monsters Inc
Lunch at Plaza eating by 1245
Splash FP 130
Left for naps (was going to swim but it stormed)
Back to MK for seven dwarf mine train fp 530
Kids decided they really wanted to swim instead of stay at MK so we went with the flow and left. Just got back to the room. Not sure if crowds ever reached the predicted 10 but it sure didn’t feel like it when were were there up unti 2 and the short time in the early evening. Tomorrow we will go to AK.

Dd and bf are there right now. She has texted a couple of times today and said that it didn’t seem that crowded at all. Wait times weren’t bad. They hopped over to Epcot after they had done about half of MK, around lunch. Said they got a fp for Soaring but Test Track was down due to weather. Didn’t really need one for anything else.

They were heading back to MK tonight.

Lol they are heading to AK tomorrow too! Avoiding Studios at all cost! Hope you and them have as good of a day tomorrow!
