Success of faxing room requests?

Hi there!
We're staying at POP Apr. 30-May 7, and we requested the 70's when I made the ressies. I have the room request all set to fax to POP, but I was wondering, how successful has it been for you to fax your room requests? Do you always get generally where you want? The big thing for us is being close to Classic Hall, and preferably in the 70's, so I don't want to end up all the way over in the 90's

Many resorts are no longer accepting Faxed requests, and official policy is that requests are to be made thru CRO.

We sent a fax to the Grand Floridian and were successful in getting the room we had requested (in Conch Key). If you are assigned the room you didn't request on your fax, ask nicely if there are any rooms available in the 70's building or close to the Classic Hall.

We did the fax room request at Pop twice last year and both times they were logged and we were given as many of the requests as they could. Just make sure you don't do it more than 5 days out. We do it about 2-3 days out.
