Success fixing online access!

Ok, I am back online after getting the password error for the last 3 days. Let me preface what I did, and what they did over the phone.

Sunday night, my login name and password no longer worked on the DVC website. I tried to log in on the regular disney site (which I have used my dvc login before and it worked). Well, the login didn't work there either and said I needed an email address. I registered A COMPLETELY NEW ACCOUNT on the Disney website using an email address as the username for login.

Today I called MS, option 1, then option 6 for help with the DVC website. I told the CM that I needed to link my accounts, but I didn't have the Club ID or activation code. She gave me that info and BOOM! I was finally able to log in using the NEW login of my email and new password I created on the regular disney site.

If you need to get to the website to link your accounts, from dvcmember.com there is a little link to the far right that says No DVC member account? Click here. Click it and then click "I already have an existing Disney account.

Hope this works for others. But I for one feel like a missing limb has been reattached.

I am glad this worked for you, it did not work for me when I did it with a MS representative this afternoon.

It didn't work for me either. I just phoned and tried and was reminded that my problem, ".. is known, they are working on it and there is no estimated time for repair." :(
 
That's disappointing to hear. I was hoping maybe it would help others. I didn't preface my call with anything other than I needed to link my accounts when I called.
 

But THANK YOU for posting your success and your method. It gave me hope and I'm SURE will be very helpful for some! :)
 
Mine is fixed too!


First I logged on to my Disneyland account then opened another browser(tab) and opened dvcmember.com It asked for an activation code so I called MS select option 1 then 6 and they gave me a new activation code. It finally worked!
 
It has also happened to me through no fault of my own!! I do not think I should have to jump through hoops to fix this, this is something they did and they should be the ones fixing it!!!

Do what you must and wait it out. I'm not one to sit around and be content when a solution might be available. What worked for me has worked for some, and not worked for some. Hope they fix it soon for everyone but it could be a week or more, it could be another hour. I am just sharing what I did. Good luck.

Didn't mean to come off like your advice was not helpful, I was just venting. I can still get on the site under my husbands email, so I can wait it out.
 
It is working for me as of this morning. Finally! :yay: I did nothing, except wait. Hopefully it is working for all.

Me too. I didn't have to change my name/login. The old info worked this morning....at least on the DVC account.
