Success at 7-Month Window BCV

Doing a happy dance this morning. Able to book a week 28 Oct-4 Nov in a 1-bedroom at BCV. I didn't think this was going to happen, as Oct 28 has been unavailable for several days now. I checked at 5:00 am this morning and it was still unavailable. I decided to go ahead and do the 8:00 am thing just to get on the waitlist. On a whim, at 7:30 am, I checked again, and that first day of our vacation had opened up. I don't know what was going on, but I'm a happy girl.

We did Food & Wine this past September, and had a good time, but, it was marred by horrible arthritis in my knee. It was at WDW, after doing Epcot in a wheelchair, that I decided to schedule knee replacement surgery. Surgery was 7 March, and I'm now convalescing.

So fun to be able to focus on planning a vacation for the fall now.

Best wishes as you convalesce. I had bilateral knee replacement April 24, 2015, nearing the 1 year mark, and how I can walk now, and enjoy WDW is remarkable.

Bilateral! I can't imagine. I've been in a lot of pain here. I know it's going to get better, but man, I didn't realize it was going to hurt this much.

Congratulations! I've been on a waitlist for a 1 bedroom at bcv for a few weeks now. It's only for 1 night, but don't feel optimistic.

I'll cross my fingers for you, Waltsgirl. Not sure how I got so lucky on this one, but I'm very thankful. If I were you, I'd keep checking daily. I've seen people have luck that way as well. The vagaries of the waitlist are beyond me.

When we bought in 2001, VWL was the only thing for sale. Now that we don't have children at home, BCV has become our favorite resort. I'm really wishing we'd waited and bought there. Thought about selling our VWL and buying at BCV, but it would just be too expensive.

EnJOY! F&W is great staying at an Epcot reort! HOPE that your recuperation goes well. We are also staying split stay BCV, BWV in October for F&W! So EXCITED!

Congratulations! We are staying at BWV in November. My dad just had knee replacement surgery this week and told me he wants to go with us on our trip. I think he wants something fun to look forward to too!

F&W is great staying at an Epcot resort

Isn't it though? I mean walking back to BCV after an evening of munching our way around the world, is just about the most perfect way to end the day. That, and I love sitting in an inner tube, in Stormalong Bay, while the fireworks are going off at Epcot.

Speaking of walking back to BCV, took this picture during our last visit. I stood there and watched this snake for quite awhile. People were walking right by it, completely unaware of him. Then this little kid, following his mom, who was pushing a stroller, says, "Mommy, is that real?"! She jumped a mile. Snake just sat there.

My dad just had knee replacement surgery this week and told me he wants to go with us on our trip. I think he wants something fun to look forward to too!

I wish your Dad well. I'm three weeks out now, and finally starting to feel a bit better.
