Success and RCI

I was wondering if anyone can tell me of success stories for using DVC points to trade for an RCI stay.

We plan on the EOY method for DVC. So, over the next 40+ years, I'm sure we'll want to visit Europe and maybe Australia.

I know that RCI isn't the best use of our DVC points, but while it's available to us (perks can disappear, you know) we will want to do a little traveling before we decide we're too old to travel the world.

I've been reading and searching the boards for FAQs, so I believe I have most of the answers to my questions.

If we only have 100 points, I'm guessing that we'd have to either use banked points or borrow points before MS will do a search?

So if I have 100 points banked from last year, lest say. And I have this years points now. (200 total) and I. Want a 1BR in Paris for May, June, July or August 2012 (Lets assume I've checked out the resort/hotel and it's good for us)

Here are my questions:

I should make sure that I bank my current years points before the end of my 8th month?(let's says say November 30th, if I have an April UY)

Do I need to "deposit" my previously banked points into RCI before they expire? (March 31st 2011)

Can I still book a WDW stay with my banked 2010 points? Say for May 2011? Or would I need to borrow 2012 points for the May 2011 WDW stay?

If my RCI request comes though in April 2011, what happens to my "ongoing search" if I am able to use my banked 2010 points?

I know if you deposit points into RCI, they're not able to be put back, and they are good for 2 years, but obviously I wouldn't want to "waste" them either.

If I give 2 years, what are the chances for Europe and Austrailia? I can't imagine we'd be too picky, but who wants to waste 2 years and 160 points. lol.

TIA
