Are you happy with it? any complaints, problems?
I am thinking of getting one

We do! We do! We have an '02 Outback, bought it 3 years ago used. Loooove it! It's a really nice car. We haven't had any problems with it and it's going strong at nearly 130k miles. Are you buying new or used? If you are buying used and it's a little higher mileage, make sure the timing belt has been replaced. :)

My mom liked ours, so she leased a Legacy, and she's going to lease another in August.

My neighbor a few doors down still has hers. She also has a newer Lexus RX350 (?think that's it). She just won't part with her Subaru and will use it for a daily driver and keep the Lexus in the garage. (She loves it and won't part with it, sees no reason she should have to either.)

I also have two friends that were looking into them. Ones in Ct weren't able to find a used 4WD there, I guess people who own them hold on to them. They ended up purchasing new to get exactly what they wanted. So far they are happy. The other was in MS, he didn't need 4WD but wanted it. It was hard to find there (used), but not as hard as it was in CT. I haven't talked with him in a while, as far as I know he's happy with it.

I had a legacy and put 178K on it. My DH has a new outback and loves it. He's had it for a year; it's great in the snow. No problems so far. Subarus are very dependable.

That's my kind of car, that I can keep and drive over 100,000 miles!

I am going to get a new one, and trade in my hubby's Toyota that is 13 yrs old with 140,000 miles on it.

He will get my SUV that I drive now.

Sweet!! You'll *love* it. If Subaru made a minivan, we wouldn't have bought our Nissan Quest, lol.

Nissan Quest is nice too, I am always checking out the other moms at the gym and one has the Quest, its nice:thumbsup2

I just went to the Subaru website, looked at the 2010s... they're niiiiiice. They kept a lot the same (which is great) and they've made it a lot bigger in some ways. Yeah, I'd take one of those! :cool1:

The Quest *is* nice, too, I have to admit. I never thought I'd be driving a minivan! LOL, DH jokes (with intent) that after the minivan, he's getting another WRX. ;)

I had a 1998 Subaru SUS (which became the Subaru Outback Sedan the next year). It was the best car I ever owned, and only traded it in after 10+ years of great service and incredible performance. I replaced it with a BMW 328xi sport, and I don't mind saying that I regret the switch. BMW is a big client of my company, and makes some great cars, no question, but afaic they cannot hold a candle to a properly maintained and properly tuned Outback sedan. JMHO.

Love it! I am on my second one now. It was always my dream car since I was little...:confused3 Have an 09, my master plan is to have it for a few more years and when DD is old enough to drive, convince Hubby she needs AWD, we have a wierd driveway and we do live in Maine...give it to her and...then I can get one with leather seats and a sunroof! :lmao:

The only thing I might not do again is have them put this protectant stuff on the seats and the outside of the car, it seems to me all it does is attract dust. And with all the animals it seems the seats always have fur stuck to them!

Also shop around , we had one dealer not give us many options and not alot on my trade-in. We didn't techincally have the money for the downpayment in our hands, it was our tax return, so they really were not willing to work with us. So we drove 40 minutes the next day to another dealer and they gave us a lot of options, a huge trade in, gave us the new car and said bring us the downpayment when you get it!:cool1:

We used to have an Outback, loved it, it had over 100k miles when we finally got rid of it. I now drive a 06 Forester. I love, love, love my forester, more than my Outback. I just wanted to add that my Forester has about 103k miles and still is going strong!

I can tell you that people who own Subaru's are like a cult, trust me. I work for Subaru of America and Subaru owners are definitely a breed all their own (in a good way!) ;) My 06 Forster is like a dinosaur in the parking lot and I totally droll over all the new cars. I'll get a new one eventually, but will stick with my 06 for now.

We have an '08 Outback.:lovestruc As soon as my car dies (I wish for it almost every day, but its not happening yet), We will be buying another Subaru. Maybe another Outback, maybe a Forester. But for sure, another Subaru. We are very happy so far.
