Substitutions at CRT

Hooray for my first post! I will be going to WDW next month and I have reservations for dinner at CRT. I really wanted to eat there, but as an EXTREMELY picky eater, I do not like anything on the menu! Do they allow you to make substititions? Like can I get the cheese torellini with marinara sauce instead? If not, will they let an adult order off of the kids menu? I am on the DDP so they are gettting the same amount of $ either way. Would I need to call ahead for these things?

My daughter, who was an adult on the dining plan, was able to get an adult portion of the kids items when she didn't like anything on the menu. She is quite a picky eater. I would call ahead to make sure, but as she was allowed, I don't see why they wouldn't let you.
