Can someone give me a "for instance" for the following? We are on the deluxe dining plan. What are some examples of items that are considered snack items at a table service restaurant? Do all TS restaurants have these options?

For Lunch/Dinner
• Entrée
• Dessert*
• Non-Alcoholic Beverage*

* May be substituted for any item that is an eligible snack at the location.

There are no eligible snacks at table service restaurants. Only at quick service restaurants. Table service restaurants don't accept snack credits for anything.

If you are allowed to substitute your dessert for something else at a table service restaurant, it will be a specific item or items that the restaurant offers for such a purpose; you can't swap your dessert for any appetizer from the menu, for instance.

No not all table services do, and it is their discretion what to offer you. Might be a certain side or salad or soup.

We've only done it at quick servixe. It is much more clear there.

This is for QS ONLY. If you're doing the DxDDP, be careful to not use too many credits for QS meals. The plan loses value very quickly when you do so.

As stated by the others, this snack substitution is only for QS locations. But for examples on our trip a few weeks ago:

Swapped my dessert for onion rings at Flame Tree BBQ

Swapped my dessert for a cup of chili at Columbia Harbor House

Swapped my drink for a muffin at Pepper Market in Coronado Springs (we were staying here and had our mugs for our drinks) and saved the muffin for breakfast the next day. Did that with a brownie too another time for late snack in our room.

Can basically swap a drink or dessert for any item that has the purple & white DDP symbol next to the price that denotes it as a snack.

We did run into one strange menu listing though. Tangerine Café at Morocco in Epcot put that symbol by the price on the QS meals that you could use QS credits on. Very few actual snacks there, I think they got the memo wrong on what the symbol on the menu board was for!

Can you substitute dessert AND drink for 2 snack credits (obviously ordered at the same time as the meal)?
Example: At Flame Tree BBQ can I get fries and onion rings instead of drink and dessert?

Yes, in 2016.
