Substitute beverage at resort for snacks??

Does anyone know if it is still allowed to substitute beverage for a snack instead on quick service dining plan? Staying at Saratoga and will have refillable mugs so don't need beverage for quick service meal. I know last summer they allowed it. Just trying to decide if dining plan is for us. Thanks

It is more likely to be allowed at the QS at the resorts because many have the refillable mug, but far fewer reports of it being allowed in the parks. Here's a fairly recent thread:
