Subsidized Dues for VB ?

I got an email today with DVC listings and saw something I did not know existed (perhaps a posting error ?). Are there some VB contracts with subsidized dues ($5.31 / pt) vs. normal dues at $7.75 / pt. ? Does that exist? I did a Google search on the topic and couldn't find much. Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are subsidized contracts for Vero. Originally, the resort was going to be bigger. So when they changed plans to scale back to a smaller resort, the original owners were given subsidized dues. It's so tempting because I love Vero Beach and it's an August Use Year But I don't need 150 points at Vero. I'm sure someone will swoop it up quickly.

Contracts with subsidized dues are more lickely to not pass ROFR. It's a huge saving for Disney to take it back and resell it normal dues. However I think contracts for VB are rarely ROFRed, so there's a chance.

Recently VB got ROFRed, but seller was paying closing and MF, and also buying price was low.

Vero beach subsidized dues are at $6.06 this year. It's all detailed in the DVC Resource sticky.

As you predicted, it got swooped up quickly - it is now "Sale Pending." We made our first trip to VB this spring and really enjoyed it. I'd like to own there, but those high maint. fees are a deterrent. However, the subsidized dues would be great. Now let's see if Disney buys it back. Thanks again for the info.
