Styrofoam Coolers at Publix?

We always go to the grocery store (Publix) after checking in to get food for breakfast (we're not big breakfast eaters). Typically we bring a collapsable cooler, but this year I don't think we'll have room for it (need to pack warmer clothes). Does anyone know if you can buy a styrofoam cooler at Publix?

Disnee Dad Says..............................Probably $1.99 or $2.99 at publix and $3.99 or $4.99 at Goodings.

I have bought them at Albertsons. There were 2 sizes.
The smaller one I believe was $1.99 and the larger one was either $3.99 or $4.99.

$3.99 for the cooler at Publix....they were located toward the front of the store above the bottled water.
Was much sturdier than the "typical" styrofoam cooler

Hi...I have never used a styrofoam cooler and was thinking about it for our trip in march. Are they good enough to keep milk in? how often to you have to change the ice?

We did this last May becausae DS still has to have his milk every night before bed. It worked great. The milk stayed cold and didn't spoil. We did have to change out the ice every night, though.

We just left the cooler there when we were ready to fly back home filled with a few left over beer and coolers and left a note for MouseKeeping telling them to enjoy or share with someone who would enjoy it.

Make sure you buy one shaped like |_| and not like \_/ . The first one will hold more stuff even though the second one is "bigger". The first one will allow you to put milk and juice right up against the side and the second one will not.

Also, save your plastic Publix bags. They make very effecient ice carriers. We recharge with ice every morning before going to the parks and every evening before going to bed.

When you come back can you let us know about the cooler. I'm going next month and I thought about bringing our foldable cooler. It would be great to be able to leave it home.
