Okay - after reading sooo much about crocs, I have decided to take the plunge and get some for our upcoming trip. However, I have some questions that I'm hoping the croc experts can answer! Here goes;
1) I have narrowed it down to either the beach or nile style - is there any difference in comfort and support in the different styles?
2) the nile comes in sizes and I know that crocs are suppose to fit loose - do you still order your proper size?
3) crocs are waterproof correct? So could I wear them to the water parks and on Kali Water Rapids?

That's all for now! Sorry for yet another croc thread - maybe they should have a croc discussion board and to make things fair an 'I hate Croc threads board' for all the anti-Croc people lol.
Thanks,
Mo

I love my Crocs!

I wear the Beach style and they are so comfortable. The strap started rubbing a bit of a blister on the side of my foot (as did other posters), but if you move the strap towards the top of the foot (like a clog), it fixes the rub.

I get them wet all the time and they just dry out and I just keep going. They also keep your feet nice and airy (not stuffy like my tennis shoes do). I am a size 6 1/2 foot and I wear the size Small.

Just be careful, after wearing them repeatedly (mine are a year old and still fine), the bottoms become flatter and are very slick on flat surfaces. All in all, they rock!

My Beach Crocs are all I wear at WDW now!!! I wear them as clogs also...so no strap rubbing. I love that I can get my feet soaked and it isn't an issue. Those afternoon showers are no longer a problem.
They are terrific for those attractions where you get wet. If you hate having your feet wet inside them, just head to a ladies room, dry off the inside of the Crocs and then dry off your feet. Works like a charm for me.
I like the Beach style rather than the Niles because I hate anything between my toes. But, that's just me!!! I can't wear flops at all!

And yes...they do wear down!!! I just had to get a new pair after constant use for a year. The bottoms got very slick!!!

Oh - the niles go between your toes? Only looked at pictures of them so didn't realize that - may have to go with the beaches then.

You know, now that I think about it...the Niles may not be between the toes. I think I'm confusing them with another style of Crocs. Sorry

The Niles don't go between your toes. They are more of a "slide". The Athens are the ones that are like a traditional flip-flop. I like my Beach-style better than my Niles. They are all comfortable, but the Beach-style can't be beat!

Why do you like the Beach-style the best? They have the Beach style at a department store in town (we're in Canada so Crocs are hard to find) and I'd have to order the Nile from the Croc site. So if everyone is recommending the beach style over the nile, that may be the route to go.

I thought the Niles looked neat online - in person they didn't appeal to me.

I got the Cayman. It looks identical to the Beach BUT it is closer to "real" sizes (in whole sizes - 6, 7, 8, 9 etc). The Beach is sized in general sizes (6-7 8-9 Small Medium etc.) The Beach 8-9 didn't fit me as well as the 9 Cayman did. (and the 10-11 Beach was WAY too big).

Point is - try them on regardless of what style you get.

In direct answer to your question - since they are made the exact same way (only difference is the style of the top part) I would say they would be equally comfortable. main question is do you want your toes out or covered?

Mine are the Athens, flip-flop style, and I like them better than any of the others.

okay, okay, I have read too much about these "croc" things. What do they look like?? I know this may sound wierd, but does anyone have a picture???? LOL

My mother and I are going with our families next week to Disney. We too read so much about these shoes we had to get some. My mom bought two pair and I got one. They are the best!!! I've never had anything like them. I now feel I need to have every style and every color. I'm going back this weekedn before we leave. Thanks Dissers!!! :thumbsup2

I have the Beach style, as well as the Caymens. I prefer the sizing on the Beach for some reason. They seem to fit my in-between sized feet better than the styles with actual sizes (7, 8, 9 etc) The ones that fit 8-9 fit me the best..I wear a 9 usually in a normal shoe.

Well, they certainly aren't going to win any 'cute shoe' contests....try this site.. www.crocs.com

Oh drats!! my computer won't let me there for some reason! :( I will have to look elsewhere. Thanks though!

never mind!! I was able to go to another website to see them. I've seen those everywhere and almost bought a pair. I would like a pink pair for this summer, especially since I will be SOOOO pregnant!!!

I have the Beach and Athens and they are both great. I tired on the Cayman and Nile and didn't like them as well. I like the beach better because on of my feet is a bit bigger than the other (about 1/2 size difference) so the fact that it fis 2 sizes is perfect, the Cayman was a little uncomfortable on the bigger foot. I didn't like the Niles because they really hugged my foot and I think that would get uncomfortable. Finally when I first put the Athens on I thought the thing that goes between the toe was uncomfortable because it seemed too big but now I am used to them and I wear them around the house. I love these shoes and I even convinced my DFi to get a pair and though he will admit they are really comfortable he still thinks they are the ugliest shoe ever.

I have a pair and I agree. They hug the foot and aren't as comfortable as Beach or Cayman styles. I will wear them a bunch this summer, but I do not think they will be my Dis shoes. Oh, and btw, if you are between sizes... go up. I wear a 10 and sometimes need a 10.5 or an 11 and I am not happy with the fit of my Niles. They are just almost too small.

Hi
I am looking for some good walking, water resistant sandals for WDW. Can you wear the crocs without socks? Are they soft? Do your feet get sweaty in them?
Thanks
