Are you sure you didn't set the camera to "mirror lock-up"? The "mirror lockup" function is probably located somewhere deep in the menus of your dSLR camera. Although, if you did set it to "mirror lockup", you would not be getting a camera error.
Any thoughts on what might have made your camera start to act up and give you an error?
Opening a dSLR camera and trying to fix it is not like, say, opening a desktop computer and trying to repair it. People typically don't open dSLR cameras and mess with the electronics.
Is your camera still under warranty? If so, you can probably send it back to Sony, and they can look into it and repair the problem for you without charge. Even if it is not under warranty, it's still probably a good idea to send it back to Sony and have the professionals there diagnose and fix your camera.
Although not specific to what you're looking for, here's a YouTube video on how to paint your dSLR camera pink:
link to YouTube. In the video, the guy takes apart his Nikon dSLR, and the whole thing becomes a mess, he gets electrically shocked by the electronics inside the camera, and he can't quite put the camera back together without sawing off some parts or accidentally tearing some wires.
Again, opening a dSLR camera is really not something that even experienced photographers would even attempt. But, if you have some experience with electronics, hopefully you'll be able to find the problem and fix it. Good luck, and let us know how you do!
