Stupid question

What does "bump" mean on the boards?

Not stupid at all!

It's just a way to get a post back up to the top of the page. Maybe someone asked a question and it wasn't answered and it's now on the 2nd page...they'd "bump" it so that it's back on the first page. Or perhaps there's an interesting topic and someone wants to read more answers...but they don't have anything extra to say. They'd "bump" it also.
