Yeah, getting wet on GRR is not guaranteed. Like others say, you either get a lot of water or just a few drops. We usually put our feet up a bit so water doesn't go right into our shoes. Things in a backpack are usually well protected, but we also wear ponchos sometimes if it's not warm out. Even if you get wet, it's not too uncomfortable walking around. It's not like a drenching where your clothes stick to you all over.
We saw the people dryers over at Universal Orlando last year. They have 2 rides there that really drench you guaranteed. Way more drenching than GRR. It was to the point where it was hard to walk around because our clothes were so wet--we were dripping getting off the rides. This is "take a shower in your clothes" wet. The people dryers looked pretty tempting, but we didn't want to plunk down the money to try them. Didn't look like others wanted to either since they were always empty. Anyone on these boards try them out? Do they work well? I would think they'd only dry the first layer of clothes, so the inner-most layer would still be wet.
