Stupid question probably, but need to double check.

So, I was having a discussion at work about free dining and ADR's, and I got into a disagreement with a doctor about the ADR's.

If you are staying onsite, I know that you can book ADR's in advance, but what if you are staying off site? Can you still book ADR'S?

We have always stayed onsite, so I am not sure about this question. I thought even if you stayed offsite that you could still book them. He said you couldn't.

You can still book ADRs if you are staying off site. The main difference is that you'll have to call 90 days from each date you want reservations for whereas on-site guests can take advantage of the 90+10 rule meaning they can call 90 days from check-in and make up to 10 days worth of reservations in one call.

You can book them when you are staying off site as well.

Staying off site you call in 90 days before the day you want to dine at a restaurant. You do this every day for every restaurant.

Staying onsite, you call 90 days before you check in to your resort. You can make reservations for that day, up to 10 days.

To keep it fair, Disney doesn't release all of their tables until 90 days before you'd be dining at the restaurant. So if you use the 90 +10, and something is not available, call back 90 days before you want to eat there. It's probable that something opened up for you.

Thanks for the info! What I didn't know was the 90 + 10 rule. ( I guess I knew it for the resorts but not the offsite part.)

I stay offsite all the time now and I have no problem booking dining reservations at 90 days out. I can't imagine Disney would ever shut out locals and all the others that stay in offsite accommodations. You don't even have to visit a Disney park at all and still be able to make dining reservations.
