My use year is October and I have an annual allotment of 150 points. With all the Covid changes etc, I am so confused
As of now, I have 60 points in my 2020 account and I have 300 points in my 2021 account.
Can you tell me when my 60 points will expire and when my 300 points will expire.
Thank you,
Confused old lady

Your 60 points will expire after Sept. 30, 2021. You are past your banking deadline.

Your 300 points will expire after Sept. 30, 2022 unless you bank them by May 31. 2022.

I don't think either of these point-banking situations were affected by Covid. This would have been the case without Covid. Very sorry to hear you might lose some points.

But just a clarification here. You said you have 150 points annually? Does that mean the 60 points were already banked from 2019 to 2020? Either way, you're going to lose them next week.

And perhaps 150 points from 2020 have been banked into 2021 - hence the 300 total in your 2021 allotment? If that's the case, you'll need to use that 150 of the 2021 points by Sept 30, 2022, or you'll lose them. And you could bank the other 150 to the following year if you do it by May 31, 2022.

Now it's probably more confusing!

Thanks for the speedy responses!
I figured I was destined to lose the 60, but I have a better idea now what to do with the remaining points.
Thanks so much.

You may still be able to transfer them to RCI over the next few days.

Also, as a Canadian, they may allow you to extend those 60 points for a little while longer. I'd get on the phone with member services today

You could also try to rent out those 60 points at a very reduced rate- there is a shocking amount of availability over the next 4 days & people are still looking to book! Best of luck!!

That's what I don't understand. For an October UY, 2021 points aren't even available yet, so how can there be 300 points available? If we assume OP means there WILL be 300 points available in the 2021 UY, then that means all 150 of their 2020 UY points were banked. Were the 60 points banked from 2019 into 2020? No matter what, those 60 are gone for sure.

Call services . I'm pretty sure they will let you keep those 60 points because Canada has only recently been able to travel to US. I think since Aug. or end of july???
