I think this is probably a really stupid question but here goes lol...In November I took my family to Universal and IOA and we had a blast. I got an annual seasonal pass and got my wife and kid the buy 2 days get 3 free deal. Now my wife and I would like to go back by ourselves in March 2020 so I am going to have to buy her all new tickets since I didn't add like $50 to get her a seasonal pass like I got because we didn't know we were going to want to go back at the time? I'm sure I cannot upgrade her tickets after they have already been used correct? So when is the best time for me to buy her a 2 day base pass for as cheap as possible? Even if I have to buy her new tickets I think I can get cheap enough plane tickets and hotel to make a 3 day 2 night trip for around 1k and do a day each at Studios, IOA, and Seaworld (I got an annual pass there too).

Also do you think in mid or late March the new Bourne show and Ice Breaker roller coaster at Seaworld will both be open? They both are supposed to open in Spring 2020...

You are correct, u cant use old expired tickets toward an upgrade but if u go to UT, they currently have a really good deal on a 5 day base ticket with volcano bay for only $246 +tax. So this would be a very nice credit to upgrade to AP.

thanks for that info! In March it looks like the week of the 9th would be best according to the crowd calendar if it's accurate. Or are we ok any time in March if we splurge for one night at an EP hotel to get 2 days of express passes? Because the week of the 16th is actually best for me...

I've personally never been in march but I can only assume any time during spring break will be the busiest times in march but if ur going with express passes, I'd say ur good to go.

My wife now says Saturday 3/28- Tuesday 3/31 is the best time for her...those dates appear to be very busy also...

Almost all the weekends are busy but monday and tuesday should be a little slower. If ur going go with 2 days of express pass and 2 days normal, I'd recommend doing the EP on Saturday and Sunday. Also, u cant really rely on those crowd calendars from the big name places like UT or Visit Orlando, it's the everyday blogger's like WDW Prep to go blog/podcast that actually visit the parks every other day and keep accurate crowd calendars. Not sure who to use that is specific to universal but a quick google should bring up some options.

My plan was going to be US Saturday with single rider lines and avoid mid day...a relaxing day after a very early flight. Seaworld Sunday. US/IOA Monday & Tuesday w/ express passes. We just went in November so my wife & I are just going to focus on doing our favorite rides.

Express passes on Monday and Tuesday should make for a great couple days. Also, SeaWorld offers a quick queue pass for like $20 although u really shouldn't need during the time ur going but if it turns out to be busy once u get there, u can always add this for really cheap.
