OK, I think I'm in denial. I just took a pregnancy test and it was positive. This will be my third. I just need my fellow disers to confirm that there are no false positives when it comes to pregnancy tests. Right? Could the test possibly be wrong? I think I'm in total shock :earseek:

3rd test or 3rd child? If its a third test, forget denial. You're gonna have another. Congrats!

Congrats! And I took 4 of them before I believed I was pregnant with #1-that second line just kept getting darker. I don't think it's going away for you either.

Hi DisKim - welcome to the land of no more denial! It is very, very rare for a home test to give a false positive as it detects HCG, which is only present in measurable amounts when you are expecting. My 3rd (a huge surprise!!) is due January 15!

Sorry, I've lost my ability to think. It is the third child, not the third test. It's only the first test. I keep looking at the pink line like it's going to disappear. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy. I'm just in a state of disbelief.

Could the test be wrong? LOL, I think you are going to have a BABY!!! Congrats, that is really exciting. As far as the tests...

::yes::

That's what I thought. Are you as nervous about having a third as I am? My DH and I are outnumbered now :earseek:

I don't really think so, but if you're unsure, take another test.
By the way, we have 3 kids and it's great. I really think going from one to two was alot harder than going from 2 to 3. You're already used to multi-tasking, splitting your time and attention, so it's really not so bad. Although mine are all 3 years apart which helps alot, don't know what your situation is. Congratulations anyway! :D

You didn't buy the test on ebay did you? (yes, I have done that! :teeth: ) If not and you bought it at a real store, the chance of it being a false positive, is very, very small. So Congrats!

Congratulations a new Disney Prince or Princess :D

::yes:: ITA, especially about transistioning form 1-2 and then 2-3...

wow!! are you excited?

I'm excited, but very shocked. Maybe I'll believe it when my belly starts to grow! Geez, you'd think it was my first, not my third.

Thanks for the support. I need it. Going from one to two was really difficult for me. DD is 8 so she will be a big help. DS is 4 and a mama's boy, so I'm nervous about him.

LOL. I bought it at the local drug store. It was First Response. It is supposed to detect the hormone earlier. I don't blame you for buying them from e-bay. They're pricey!

Your kids will both be a big help. We talked to both our kids DD6 and DS 3 about how their little sis would look up to them and they could teach her things and show her how to do stuff. I will never forget when DS first held his little sister in the hospital, looked at her and said, I'm going to teach you how to play catch, when you get home from here, okay. It was so cute!! Of course we had to explain to him that she wouldn't be playing catch for a while! LOL! They totally adjust, just like I'm sure your DD did when your DS was born, even if they are mama's boys or girls! ;)

We have 3 kids and trust me, they'll all be just fine with adjusting! :)

thats wonderful news Congratulations!!

I'm not as worried about the kids adjusting as I am about me :p . My life just seems to be designed for two kids. We have a 3 bedroom house (one will have to share). I feel bad for my DD8. She'll have to share her room if it's a girl and she's going to be 9 when the baby is born. Also, I work which adds to the stress. Luckily, I have the most wonderful babysitter in the world, but there's the guilt to deal with. Oh, I could go on. As you can see, I'm a bit of a worrier. Like I said, I'm happy. I'm just scared.

That is soo exciting!!! I am growing my 3rd too:) Good Luck and I hope you get some sleep;)

congrats!!!!! I think it would be very rare for the test to be off, but like anything I'm sure it has happened. I would personally either buy a second test or head to the dr. for a bloodtest.

we ended up with a third little surprise...of course, we were pg with what we thought was only our second (and last) when we found out it was twins. eek.

wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!
