Stupid question about free dining

Forgive me if the answer is plainly obvious, but I can't seem to find it at the moment...

My sister and I are thinking about going down for free dining. By some miracle there is still value availability for our dates. The problem is she's not sure if she can get off work & won't know by June 22. My question is, if I have to cancel the trip will I get my deposit back? What if I need to drop a night? How hard is that to do (I would still have four nights)? What if I book through AAA? (I know I won't get any additional discounts but we like their package add ons). Is cancelling/modifying a free dining ressie after June 22 any easier/harder through AAA? Flights are not in the picture yet so we aren't worried about that.

Thanks for the help!!

You will have to make a 200.00 deposit and pay in full for the package by 45 days before the 1st day of stay. Until then the deposit is refundable. That's with a reservation directly with WDW, not sure how AAA works. I would make the reservation and hope she can have the vacation time off!

Thanks! That's what I thought, but I just wanted to check. If we use AAA I'll be sure and ask if it's the same way. I think I will go ahead and book, I'd hate to see a great deal like that slip away...

You're welcome. Good luck in getting your dates! If you book using a Disney Visa, no interest for 6 months as well!

You can drop a night, but I believe there is a $50 change fee if you are within your 45 day mark and have paid in full. I know that people here have had the change fee waived if they have added nights or upgraded their resort, but if you are dropping a night I'm sure they will charge you!
