Ok now today I was in Algebra and my class is NOT the brightest class in the world. Now this might sound mean but I kind of get really really annoyed when i totally understand something and like no one else does...But it's not just that they don't get it, every one just keeps asking the same stupid questions over and over again and it's driving me insane!!

I think the worst one today was "What's the square root of 4 again?" :scared1:

ugh it drives me crazy...and then all the people that don't get it, make absolutely NO effort to learn the material. it's like "do you want to pass this stupid class or not and then have to learn it all all over again next year?"

UGHH

ok rant over...

Ugh, we've been doing quadratic functions and absolute value and NO ONE GETS IT.
Seriously, it's so easy. All you need to know, is that the equation always lies, so when you write the mapping notation, the signs change.
And people in my class still are getting it wrong. It's annoying because when I answer the teacher when she asks a question, I can answer about 16 times before either someone else says or she actually listens to me.
Srsly, easiest math ever.

Maybe you should move into a higher level math class.

we're doing simplifying radicals

and i actually understand it and i like it and stuff, i think it's easy and everyone is still like "wait whats a cube root?"

i'm like pulling my hair out

I missed my chance to switch math classes about.. 4 weeks ago lol.
I could have, but I like being lazy..
I'm half happy about it because intensive math teacher is a nazi with graphs and marking books and homework. But we go much too slow in comp, and no one gets it cept me and a few people.

I didn't realize that second semester math was going to be so easy, if I had've known I would've switched. First semester was easy, but my class was so slack we never learned or did anything. so I didn't mind.

I totally understand.

I have absolutely no patience it seems, so when someone asks a question, I literally bang my head against the desk. WE. ALREADY. WENT. OVER. THIS.

Like just today, my teacher had worked out a problem and said 'So x is greater than 5 & less than 9.5' and of course, I hear.

'What is x?'

GAHGAH.

yeah it gets really annoying...and like all these people are seniors who just completely stopped caring

it's so dumb

I headdesk, say the answer over and over again, groan or actually say something rude really really loudly to my friend Dom.

omg yeah i usually end up flipping out and everyone and just explaining it myself...then sometimes they get it but not usually.

the teacher is getting annoyed too it's not just me

You sound like my Algebra class. I'm one of the very few Freshman. It's filled with Juniors and Seniors. They ask me for help. All the time.
"Hey, Allison, did I do this right?"

My teacher I think is getting a little annoyed with repeating herself.
I am at least. Today I was basically saying everything she said at the same time because I knew what she was going to say. 'When you see the brackets, you have an absolute value.'
But I said it really annoyed.

lol yeah thats me but i'm a sophomore
i mean it's cool that they all ask me...but why not just try to learn it themselves...ug

How can someone NOT get absolutely value? It's absurdly easy. It's easier than freaking addition!

well how does someone not know the square root of 4???

seriously??? unless you don't know what a square root is...but even then

I know! The teacher sees me help the kids sometimes. They don't even say anything to me about it, either! There's 3 teachers/adults that can help. They still ask me to explain it, though.

oh I know it's riddiculous

I mean we have a student teacher and maybe thats part of the problem but he's so much better than our regular teacher. he's so patient with everyone and he'll explain every little thing as many times as you want, but there's gotta be a breaking point you know? even he's getting annoyed with everyone and he's like the nicest teacher ever.

Like we just spent 2 weeks on graphing parabola's and different kinds of transformations in graphs.
And it's easy.
Absolute value is EASIER than that, so much easier..
And people are still confused.

Absolute value is so easy! Just take the number, remove the signs and you get your answer! Like l-5l = 5!

I did all of that 1 year ago. I'm glad I'm 2 years ahead in math!

Yeah, it's mostly the graphing they're not getting.
Which is stupid..
It's a v.
Rise/Run is not hard to do.
