I swear to God I wish DH had bought me the biggest SUV he could find when he bought the Neon I now drive. I had NO idea how bad the 'trying to look and see' situation would be when I got that car.

Let me explain. I work in a mall. There is a long road that goes around the mall that connects all the parking lots to each other. This road has several entrances/exits to major roads nearby.

To seperate the entrances/exits there is landscaping which I don't quite understand why it's there...other than to look pretty. They planted TALL trees and big ol' bushes in the center divider and big bushes on either side.

In a tiny little car like mine with someone as short as I am driving, it's darn near IMPOSSIBLE to see around the bushes/trees (esp when the bushes are in full bloom) to see if any one is coming. The people coming IN do not have a stop sign but someone going out does. There is a line on the ground beside the stop sign where you are SUPPOSED to stop. I never do. I have to pull up past the line, almost in the the lane of traffic to see if someone is coming. I have almost gotten hit this way several times and was almost in an accident going in yesterday because of this.

Also..coming IN it's hard to see (because again..bushes/trees block the view)if anyone is going across and so there have been several near misses I've witnessed because of this.

I'd really like to know WHO ON EARTH decided to put those trees and bushes there?!?!?!? It's all well and good if you're in a giant SUV or van and can see over/around the bushes and trees but not so good if you're in a tiny car like mine. I hope they realize what a driving hazard those stupid bushes are and if I EVER get into an accident because I simply CANNOT see around the greenery, I am going to SUE the mall because it's on THEIR property. They are responsible (IMO)for making sure that the greenery doesn't block anybody's view and cause traffic problems.

Ok..vent over. :)

You should notify the management - they may have no clue. About the shrubs, I mean ;) I think they are responsible to keep shrubbery from obstructing sight lines for traffic. You could call your local courthouse and see if there are ordinances against such things. I also drive a "short" sedan and HATE stuff that blocks my view. (but I won't drive an SUV - they roll too easily).

Mall mgmt is quite clueless..about this and other things I'm sure.

They already don't like me for yelling at them for not creating an 'employees only' lot during Christmas. I've experienced several Christmas seasons working in this mall and I can tell you that even the back lots that are usually empty because nobody parks there are full. A lot of times I end up leaving for work nearly 2 hrs in advance to give me at least an hour to search for a parking space.

I'm sure after I yell at them about the bushes, they will not like me even more.
