Stupid Kids Menu question

Forgive the newbie question, but I'm taking kids to dinner at WDW for the first time.
On a number of the menus-I see the complete kids meal, and then the Kids' Picks: Choose 1 Appetizer, 1 Entree, and 1 Dessert. So for the price given, a child would have the appetizer, entree and dessert-even if the adults aren't having an appetizer?

On the basic dining plan, appetizers are included for kids 3-9 since all children's meals are offered as 3 courses.

Appetizers are not included for adults on the basic plan.

Yes, the children's menu is all inclusive for the prices listed.

For Example here's LeCellier's Menu. This is what the child may order, regardless of what the parent is ordering. (In the complete meals the brown sugar apples or the fruit salad are considered dessert.)
