OK so I have finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade my xt before our vaction (in 15 days). Now here is a little about me-I research a purchase for quite a while first and know all my pricing options-so I go online to order and everyone has bumped their prices up in the last 2 days compared to what they were on Monday-what gives!?!?!?! So with that being said I am still on the fence waiting for the price I want

I tend to be the same ... research research research ... make a decision... procrastinate pulling the trigger ... more research .... wait for the prices I want ..... get frustrated.... after following this routine and missing out on better prices or deals I have learned to change my ways a little ... at least when it comes to photography gear ... if its something I know I really want, I get it ordered and get it done even if I know I could have saved a few $$, its better than regretting not doing anything and missing out totally.

Ditto. I've had to set hard deadlines for purchases because otherwise I'll just keep "monitoring".
