Do any of you work in your garden or yard? I was working in the veg garden and had opened a bag of pine bark mulch that had been baking in the sun all day. The smell of it took me right to Fort Wildnerness, I don't know if it was a camping in general smell or WDW has all that landscaping going on but it was very nice.

This time of year I enjoy reenacting FW vacations with a ref. mug full of kona coffee. I take it outside very early in the day and sit in the shade as the sun starts to heat everything up and it's very similar to mornings at the fort when we go in February (well the kona part takes me to staying at WL back when coffee was good at WDW, I don't know if the resorts have gone to Nescrape).

Every time I hear the wild peacocks "cawing" in our neighborhood, I always think of Disney. Of course, now I hear that "cawing" sound all the time, drives my wife crazy, but I love it....lol.

Well, that mystery's solved! You were taking peacocks home with you one each trip. We'll all have to come over and pitch a tent in your yard. I wonder if we can book Sundee and the Chipmunks to play a set for us?

I had the same thought when we were using pine bark mulch! It's amazing how smells hold such strong memories!

Every once in awhile I'll hear a bus pulling away from the curb.....

:goodvibes just like the fort:goodvibes

lol, well I better not tell you about the "old waterin' hole" we have out back either...hah :)

Just to show you how sick I am, the smell of a diesel engine brings me back to FW. Smells like vacation!!!!!!!!! Seriously.:goodvibes

Sometimes at night, me and Peg both swear we smell the Fort on our back porch. Guess it has to do with the mulch and tree's, and our anticipation to be back @the Fort.

I guess I'll join you in your sickness; the smell of diesel makes me crave Bratwurst from when we lived in Germany. I wonder if our smell to memory responses can have only one connection? My diesel smell connection is already taken so I don't even associate diesel with FW (and we've stayed at several campsites that were right beside the bus stop). Hmmm.
