Some may have seen my thread about my daughter getting very upset during homework time. While I have been trying to explain and demonstrate to her different ways to study, etc I think there is probably resources out there to give me more ideas. Taking this a step further a friend of mine has now talked with the Assistant Principal to see if we can do something for the entire 4th grade, knowing that many parents at this school aren't involved and the kids will be on their own to learn how to study for test, etc.
I am looking for any information on schools that may have done something like this in the past. I also am wondering if there is literature out there, which I will start searching for on the internet, but thought someone hear may help me find it quicker. I am also thinking of calling our local college to see if maybe a student seeking a elementary teaching degree would like to get involved for resume experience.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
