I am thinking about renting points for a stay in January 2009. I have two small children who will need to take naps and go to bed earlier than my husband and me, so I'm looking for a studio with some outdoor space and seating. I'm also interested in staying at one of the value resorts on the weekend to save $. Does anyone know if any of those rooms have balconies or patios? Thanks!

The value resort rooms have no balconies, the basic design is like a regular basic travel motel, similar to a Super 8 or Motel 6 with Disney theme, though they are nicer than your standard basic motel.

All DVC studios have a small balcomy (except for one studio at VWL). OKW balconies are the largest, with two plastic chairs and a small end table.

Although there arebn't private balconies in the values, you do see folks bringing folding chairs and setting them up outside their doors.

All studios at BCV also have two plastic chairs and a small table. A few of the balconies at BCV are far larger than OKW although most are probably equivalent to OKW in sq ft. Just long and narrow as opposed to a rather small square.

The balcony furniture is much nicer at Jambo House than the rest of the DVC resorts. I hope that continues at Kidani.

Thanks for the information. This will be my 13th trip to WDW, but we usually rent a condo off-site. I'm not used to having the whole family in one room!
