Studios: plates and bowls

Prior to our trip in March 2019 I had read on this board that the studios were supplied with paper plates and bowls. When we stayed at Kidani Village our kitchenette had real plates and bowls as well as mugs and glasses. However, the cutlery was plastic.

I am looking to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge or Old Key West next year and I just wanted to clarify whether I can expect paper plates and bowls in the future? (I will be staying in a studio again.)

Weird. We stayed at Kidani in March and had real mugs but no plates, no bowls and NO cutlery even after we requested some be sent. UGH.

Both times we have stayed in a studio at Kidani, we had paper plates, bowls, plaastic silverware and real cups and glasses.
In the 1 BR, everything was real plates, bowls, etc.

Own at AKV and stay often. Last two trips, one in December, one in March, have had REAL bowls, plates, mugs and silverware in a Jambo studio.

Will be staying in an SSR studio next month... I'm expecting paper and plastic.

When we stayed in a Kidani studio in February, we had plastic sealed stacks of plain paper plates/bowls as well as plastic cutlery, real glasses and mugs.

Well, it seems to be inconsistent. I was surprised to have real plates and bowls, but I preferred being able to wash and dry the dishes. The disposable dishes seem so wasteful especially with the sink, sponge and dish detergent supplied.

AND, we didn’t have the cute Disney themed paper plates and bowls in the studio portion of our 2 bedroom at cooper creek this past weekend. Only plain white paper plates and bowls. So sad, I loved the Disney themed ones.

We had Disney themed ones at the poly last November. Guess it is another thing Disney has taken away.

Just got home from a stay in a Kidani studio last night. I was really surprised to see real plates and bowls along with the glasses and mugs. There were also plastic wrapped white paper bowls and plates made from recycled materials.

Kidani had a shortage of paper products when we were there in December 2018. They never offered real dishes to us, so we just purchased some paper plates when we went grocery shopping. It was really a stupid ordering mistake IMO, and why couldn't AKV - Jambo House give them some? Perhaps they finally added the real dishes for awhile.

The problem with real dishes in a studio is washing them. They should go to a commercial dishwasher to be cleaned. They do the glasses and mugs, adding plates and bowls doubles the volume.

I was in Kidani in January, and instead of the usual red and white WDW paper plates, there were plain brown paper plates sealed in plastic.

This is probably dumb but how many paper products are supplied? We'll be there for 6 days - from youtube videos i've seen it looks like about one plate/bowl per person but it's so hard to tell. Is there somewhere to go for more plasticware? Do we need to buy it? Bring it? What do people do?

Call up housekeeping for more paper products. I know you can also get wine glasses from them.
