Just curious......

It will be myself and dh and our two angels, NOT
Well for the most part they get stressed out traveling and wear out easily.

We are staying in both a studio 3 nights then 1 bed 3 nights. Guess we'll find out how it works for us.

Any comments - suggestions?

Its a good thing you're staying in the studio first, because once you've stayed in a 1BR (full kitchen, washer/dryer, separate bedroom) you will definitely not want to go back to a studio!!!

One idea is to come back to the room and nap during the day. While the angels are sleeping you can sit on the porch and enjoy the day.
I know we love the 1 bedroom more than the studio.

All children are angels; they just display uncharacteristic traits once in a while. You will find the 1BR ideal, particularly after being in a studio. Also you will find that children don't wear out as easily as you may have hoped while at WDW.

You may have better luck with your angels if you try to waitlist for a 1bdrm for all 6 nights. Children usually are much better behaved if they have enough space to move a little. I love OKW, have stayed in every type of accomodation except the GV. I feel cramped in a studio with just my husband, can't imagine a studio with two little ones that need to unwind. Also have done the moving in the middle of the stay. We personally didn't like it. Couldn't really unpack at our first location without giving up an evening to pack up again. Also, wasted precious time checking in at second resort, switching to new passes etc. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, I would shoot for 6 nights in a 1 bdrm all at the same resort. Just my humble opinion. Good luck !!

Don't you find it amusing that everyone is saying "stay the whole time in a 1 BR" while most of the people who say at WDW cram into a room smaller than a Studio! I personally like a 1 BR better too ;). My husband doesn't want to stay in a Studio again, but we will next year because we borrowed a bunch of points for his parents.

Anyway ... a studio is like a regular hotel room with a mini-bar and a balcony. The 1BR is pure luxury :).

At least having the one-bedroom the end of your trip will allow you to wind down a little after being cramped up in the studio plus you'll have the washer and dryer at the end to wash cothes, so you can pack a little lighter and also have all the laundry done when you get home.

We have been using studios laately only because we are trying to get as many trips on our points as possible. I think it all depends what you find suits your needs. I have been holding off on getting a one bedroom so far because I know myself. I am well aware I will probably have to buy more points because I will want to do the same number of trips, but I am going to want the better accomodations. I tend to go to one extreme or the other. My wife and I travel alone and use a studio, or I try to make extended family plans and want a Grand Villa. That is what is great about DVC. It is flexible.
