studio units at OKW

My apologies in advance if this is a well-known question - the DVC boards are not my usual DISboards hangout.

In any case, I just rented at OKW for the third time. Each time I stayed in a studio, and each time my room was on the end of a building. That's not really a problem, just that the views from the end of the building are a bit less interesting.

So my question - are *all* the studios at OKW on ends of buildings? Or has it just been "luck of the draw" for me so far?

Other than that, I like the "maturity" of the vegetation at OKW that 15 years have given it. It will take SSR a few more years to catch up in that regard.

Thanks for any answers here. If there *are* studios not on building ends, are there only certain buildings that have them? So far I have stayed in (I think) 31, 16, and 47.

Yes, ALL OKW studios are on the ends of the buildings, because all are lock off units from 2 bedroom lock offs. You might request an upper floor to have a possiblilty of being above the vegetation, but even then, so many studios are only on the 1st and 2nd floors, that it might not help.

Actually, Buildings 14, 18, 35 and 38 do have a different configuration where the studios are NOT located on the ends of any of the floors. These buildings even have adjacent (but still not connecting) studios.

The first two floors of these 3 story buildings have a 2BR on each end and then 4 pairs of lockoffs villas in between (2BR, 1BR, ST, ST, 1BR, 1BR, ST, ST, 1BR, 2BR). The third floor has only 4 lockoff villas (1BR, ST, ST, 1BR, 1BR, ST, ST, 1BR).

These are the only buildings without a studio on the end of any of the floors and are also the only buildings with a 1BR on the end of any floors.

Building 12 also has a unique configuration with 2 floors :
1st Floor- S,1,2,2,2
2nd Floor- S,1,2,2,2

Thanks to both of you - if Doc speaks, I know I've got the details.

As a "professional DVC renter", I'll probably cycle my way through the other properties before returning to OKW again, but it's good to have this info available. (And since my wife really likes OKW, I may return sooner than I might expect!)
