Studio openings for Late Oct? Crazy, right?

I know that Food and Wine is going on at this time, but what is the possibility of a studio being open Oct 18th - 24th (6 nights total) at VWL, SSR or OKW? I'm crazy to even think something would be available, right? Well, it can't hurt to ask just in case.

(I'm assuming that BWV and BCV would be impossible during Food and Wine)

It has recently been reported that the night of the 19th (TH) is sold out for Studios at all DVC resorts. A couple of weeks ago, I tried to get a studio for Oct 22 with check out on the 28th and could have gotten a studio at SSR for all of those dates except the 26th (TH). Of course, inventory changes all the time, so good luck to you.

We've been waitlisted for several nights during that time frame and have managed to get all but one at BCV (we own at SSR) so it's possible. Give it a try!

The reason I'm asking is because I found a great Southwest airfare from Spokane to Orlando for those dates of $218 roundtrip per person, and it's almost too good to pass up. We wouldn't get into Orlando until 10:30pm, but other than that, it's a great deal.

I wanted to rent points for those dates, but from what I hear so far, it doesn't look promising.

Well, Southwest also has a special from Spokane to Ontario (about 40 minutes from Disneyland) for $198 roundtrip per person,so it looks like we'll have to make another visit to Disneyland and wait for a better time to make our first trip over to WDW.

Or, I could wait and see what airfares Southwest will offer to Orlando for the month of November, but I'm afraid if I do that then I'll lose out on the great deal they're offering now. Hmmmm...

Renting points from a member will be much more difficult than a member already on the wait list. For one, you'll have to find a member willing to do the waiting for you. Two, the wait lists are probably pretty long.

You might want to get a reservation from CRO at a DVC resort if you really want to stay at a DVC resort. Won't be cheap, though.
