Studio locations for VGC (June)

Hi

I just read a post on the DL board that color your world water show MIGHT be starting June 11th - our trip is June 14-21. Which was not the smartest planning with Grad nights, and Fathers day but it is our sons 2nd birthday on the 15th - but talk about crowds - good thing we are DVC member and go back often -ok blah blah..

So I booked a studio at 11 months and asked for park view, on high floor - I am HOPING this should give us a view of the show at night? Any one have insight on studio locations?

We stayed in 1 bedroom, 4th floor right across hallway from elevators last time - loved it...should have booked 1 bedroom now they are all full so its our first studio trip.

When is grad night?

June 11th that is when they opening color the world show - so we are trying to figure out where the studios are that have views and cant find any maps..

I was in studio 5504 in Jan. and it had a great view of the color wheel, and of a lot of the construction for WOC -- looks like 5510 would also, and probably 5520 -- you could try calling MS and ask for the WOC view; altho even if you request that, you may not get it (doesn't look like very many studios have that view on the map -- but I can't tell for sure).
I think you can go to the 6th floor Paradise View Terrace to watch (I didn't go look for that, because I had a primo CA view anyway).

I would also be interested in the locations for the villas and how many have Paradise Pier views. I have a 2 bedroom booked for 6/24-7/1 and we're hoping that one night we can watch World of Color from our balcony. We've asked for a theme park view so hopefully we'll get one. We're traveling with 2 people who have never been to Disneyland and this would be a great experience for them.

Well, a theme park view could be more of GRR than Paradise Pier, so specify Paradise Pier. There is also a viewing area for DVC guests, and hopefully music will piped into the rooms as well as the viewing are. There is also a rumor that showpass tickets will be available for DVC members at the regular viewing site and perhaps they'll have a dinner/dessert thing that costs tons but will be worth it. That place is going to be SCARY when it opens.. we'll be there mid May and am hoping for sneaky soft openings HA!

Post # 2223 has a map of the new wing. From what previous posters on that thread have said, floors 1 & 2 have no views and are blocked by trees. There are a very limited number of studios with PP views, but you never know, you may luck out!
