Studio in AKL Best Room to Request?

It has been 8 yrs since I stayed at AKL, going back in Nov. I was able to get a studio Savannah view for Nov. What is the best room number to ask for on the lobby floor near the lobby. We had a great room 8 yrs ago but of course don't remember it.
Or it can be a room close to the elevator that is a Savannah view I know it takes you right to the pool and food court. My brother had a room like that but it was a 1 bedroom I need a studio.

Jambo House or Kidani Village?

At Jambo House, all of the non Concierge Level DVC rooms are on the 5th floor with the lobby on 3. Jambo House Concierge Level DVC rooms are on the 6th floor.

The rooms at Kidani Village are on the 2nd to 5th floors with the lobby on 2.

I am looking for the Jambo House. I never thought of that. I wasn't staying on DVC 8 yrs ago. This year it is with DVC.

At Jambo House your room will be on the 5th floor. You could request "close to lobby". The more specific your location request is, the more likely it won't be met.

Be careful about requesting "near an elevator". When I stayed savannah view, I had an elevator right nearby, but it only went as far down as the lobby. In order to get to Mara, I had to take a different elevator, which was quite a hike from my studio.

I had a savannah view studio in Jambo House in May(Zebra Trail) and I can't quite remember the room number(#55___?). The view was spectacular BUT...it was a loooooooooooooong way from the elevator.

That's what I am so afraid of. I remember when my Aunt stayed there I swear it was a 15 min walk to the lobby.

I know the elevator you are talking about. One time when we were there I couldn't figure out how to get to the pool or food, we had to take the 2nd elevator down.

I'll cross for my fingers and hope for the best.

Yes, we've had that view and long hike too. It took awhile, but we finally did decide the hike was worth it.
